Topic: Editing your starting ship SFC EAW (Read 1441 times)

So, I'm not sure this is illegal to ask or not, or if it belongs here, but here goes...

In SFC 2: EAW is there any way to easily edit the ship that you are given at the start? I'm not saying I want to start with a BB, just perhaps a DW.

Go into your main sfc folder. Look in "metaassets\serverprofiles\singleplayer\ship.gf" It opens with any text editor, notepad, for instance. Change the section I've posted below, such as I have here, to allow for a larger starting ship.

MinBPV = 132
MaxBPV = 150

Thanks. Still kinda random even if I put in a narrow range around the BPV of the ship I want, but I'll toy with it more.

Yeah, you can't denote a specific ship. You'd have to rewrite the starting campaign script to do that.

Set the MinBPV to exactly the bpv of your desired ship, and check the shiplist to make sure there aren't others with the same bpv that are available in your starting year.
