Trouble with OP+ 4.0

I've been playing Orion Pirates for about a year now, and just stumbled upon these boards.  I've just downloaded and installed the OP+ 4.0 mod, and everything seems to run fine, but the sounds effects don't work.  Any help/suggestions?

I also confess to being confused by the ships.  The SSDs don't seem to match the weapon summaries shown on the right side of the screen.  And what's an Optional W?

I uninstalled OP+ 4.0, and the sound effects no longer work for vanilla, either.

Do you have the latest Orion Pirates patch? It is 2552. I'm not sure, but OP+ 4.0 might need that to run right.

You might want to make this same thread in the "general" or "dynaverse 2" sections. This was a good place to put it, but people go to those a lot and there are multiple posts every day. An admin could move it too.

The sfc.ini file sometimes gets overwritten. Look in it at the section I've posted below and make sure yours reads the same.
After fixing it I recommend saving it as "read only".

Ha!  It was the patch.  Uninstalled the mod, installed the patch, and reinstalled the mod.  Thanks, all.

I take it the single player campaign isn't supposed to work?  Or have I fouled something up?
