Topic: How can I find the distance between two geographic coordinates? (Read 1666 times)

So for work, I have a colleague with an interesting problem- she needs the distance, as the crow flys between two points. I've found out how to get a lattitude longitude coordinate from google maps, but only one at a time, when I need two at once, and I also need the distance between the two points. Does anyone have a way to do this?

Google earth does. Webbased maps, no; not offhand

Sounds like you need a GIS (Geographic Information System). Google Earth will probably do what you need.

You could just use a Meractor Map and a pair of dividers!!

It worked well in the past!!
