If you've managed to get onto the dynaverse with vita, can you tell me what version you used. I want to know if the problem is with my OS or with th settings I'm using. I am using vista ultimate. When I try to log on, I turn off my windows fire wall, and my protected mode. I also run as administrator. I'm going through dyna withdrawl so any help would be appreciated.

Check with Bonk. He has had some success logging onto dyna with Vista.

i run the tfo server on in vista ultimate
with sfc3
just like xp
you have to disabel vishule thems and set compatabilat. to xp
all so make shut you have your fire wall set to alow sfc3.
make shur if you are runing a router that you have it set up in the dmz
the pc you play sfc3 from must be in the routers dmz and the ports configured or it wont conect
and finle make shur your dynet pach hase instaled in the proper folder

Nah, that was OP under Wine on Kubuntu, not Vista! lol

I'm still running the same PC I built in 1999. It is an amazing rig. Only cost me $1100 to build then, it has served me well and will continue to do so until it finally dies of old age.

I may buy a console before building a new PC again. This machine might be able to run vista but I kinda see Vista like Win98. I expect this machine to last until the next version comes along which I hope will be more sensible.

running OP, whenever I try to click on the dynaverse button, the program freezes. I don't even get a firewall message. *&^% you microsoft, and your little dog too!

thanks for the advice but it doesn't seem to be helping. I have an older desktop that hasn't been running right, but I think I can fix it. I've been dragging my legs doing it because the thing wasn't under warranty anymore. But considering that vista not only disagrees with OP, but several other programs I use including the one I need to run my mp3 player I now have plenty of incentive.

ps. has anyone ever tried to un-install a program from vista and got an insufficient access message despite the fact that they are logged on as administrator?

It might be direct x 10 that is causing it you might want to partian your HDD and install XP with direct x 90c.By ext year you will need direct x 10 for any new games coming out for pc.
