Yep... it's a 4 engine Sovereign class with that big honkin' rail gun the 3 engine Enterprise-D had.  The friend I put this together for, Ian Burleson, would seriously love to see this modelled for SFCIII.

Mackie did one very similar but with three nacelles and the rail gun  ;)

And IIRC you can find a 4 nacelle one like your design at Battleclinic  :)

Does anyone know anyone that would be willing to kitbash one of those to match the Republic?

LOL!  Well, "fanboy" design or not, I would seriously appreciate someone's efforts at making this one.   :D

Could you imagine if the mega phaser WAS a railgun type phaser...WOW. What a visual that would be in Trek  ;D

Beautiful!!!  Wow, a huge THANKS MP!   8)

I have now touched up the textures to say USS Republic, NCC - 1371-E and will try her out tonight.

Ian had in mind some sort of Photonic rail gun for this behemoth instead of a megaphaser (though the housings for them are certainly similar!), so that's why I had said rail gun.  Either way, rail gun or megaphaser, it screams "easy button on the Captain's chair" to me.   ::)

"What?!  Another Borg cube?  Looks like a job for the easy button..."
