This one I don't like. No offence meant.

I am not surprised.  Eric Kristiansen was a member of the GEC and often got permission to use our work in his guides.

Has potential... I like the design, but it feels unbalanced... I wonder if anyone feels like tweaking it (especially the pylons, I think I don't like how they are thinner at the base and wider at the nacel for one example) Plus the engine section feels a little short.

I like it, its a better Enterprise-A following design than the Excelsior, i started a model of it with the Jackill one as base

not finished yet, i suck in fed texturing and the secondary hull on this is a big challange for me  :)

Nice!  I like this one.  It reminds me of an Excelsior refit of FASA's Loknar class for some reason.

That's because it is an exact Excelsior "refit" (more like a direct saucer and engine swap) of the FASA Loknar. I have Atra's Loknar, and this has the same support pylons.

Still looks okay, though.

this ship (the one in the first post) would be better done as an ent-j era vessel, swapping out the saucer and nacelles for something a bit more of the era (clearly the saucer currently has tmp phaserbanks) but the secondary hull and pylons look like a far newer era.

Actually I like this design. Looks like a pleasing alternative to the Ambassador.
