Nobody has, to my knowledge. I as ya can see was experimenting with one but mine came out looking more like a late TMP/Lost era version  :-\

Dude... most of the designs on shipschematics are utter crap. The ones that aren't terribly done kitbashes can all be found somewhere else.

Hey Mackie quick thought, since you added impulse engines to the "pod" why not remove them from the saucer and utilize that area for a shuttle bay?

be better to use the pod for shuttles or the thrust would rip it off.

oh well, I like it the way it is...4 impulse means extra acceleration.

Whenever I think of impulse engines, acceleration and such... for some reason propellers come into mind, propulsion.
with having 2 impulse engines you can run them at 50% each to gain the same 100% as you would with one impulse engine (yes, i know 50% from 2 sources isnt exactly the _same_  as 100% as from one, 100% from two sources would mean running both at 100% efficiency but you know what i mean), now which one sounds more sound for structural integrity? you know, equal 50% thrust from 2 points offers a steadier ride than 100% from one :P

YUP! you are right on Mackie !

AND if placed correctly  ...   that would also translate into better maneuverability as well !

Thought so ;D
or 70% thrust on top and 30% on the pod, if people still think the deflector pod would get torn off... or the other way around, because then the top would "pull its own weight" more effectively and not have the pod support the whole structure :P
