This is a kitbash of my Cypress Class into an Oberth-esk science vessel. Any Suggestions for names?

Interesting concept!  just curious how it might look "stretched" out a bit wider.  Then again that sort of profile might not have been what you were looking for.

Over all I like the design !

Lantree-A? Ofcourse, didn't the lantree carry a medical insignia? I suppose this ship could have a medical version textures if that was the case.

Otherwise given it's size, "wasp" or "Hornet" (ofcourse hornet was a ww2 CV..) Comet or Fireball (after the small Pre-tos vessels)
"superbee" if you like sportscars, Bumblebee gives some interesting logo oppertunities for the pylons...

What about the Copernicus?  Copernicus was the first to create the theory that the Earth revolved around the sun, before Galileo proved it to be correct.

Here I go again:

Truthseeker, Meer Kat, Snooper, Peeper, Lookeesee, Lookeeloo, Nosey Neighbour, Sneaky Pete.

Along the lines of Bumblebee above: Yellowtail, Blackandyellow, Buzzer, Beedance, Honeydew.

And finally some Looney Toons inspired silliness: Wile E. Coyote, Sir Speedy, Tweety's Revenge, Freep, Sam's Snooper, Daffy's Dalliance, Gremlin's Gaze, and finally for now anyway: Sylvester's Sweeper.

I have way too much time on my hands... :D  ::)

I second MP's suggestion:

"U.S.S. Marignano

She's a really nice looking ship. One question for ya, though: The secondary hull is obviously inhabited, with all the windows you gave it. How do the crew get between the hulls?

The pylons are thicker and straight.  Note that they also connect a bit inwards from the edge.  It appears, by his design, that the original Oberth was improved upon in that regard.

However, *why* have the lower hull occupied and separated from the upper hull?  The first thing I thought of when I saw her was, "multi-vector attack mode!", which would absolutely f-in ROCK on a battle frigate.  USS Velociraptor  8)
