If that is the one I saw a writeup on recently then they say the wngs can almost bend far enough up for the tips to meet each other under stress.  Rather impressive flexibility considering the old video I once saw of the wings of a jetliner bursting under a stress test (purposefully stressed to destruction) which didn't get even close to the level these wings are supposed to achieve.

We had a post on that Nem, I was amazed at the video, I believe it was way over 100% of the stated max stress load.

Very interesting I must say..
Ive had my doubts they'd ever come close to finishing the 787 Dreamliner, but it seems they are making good progress to these one day replacing the old 757 and 767's.

The real proof is the maintenance issues (or lack thereof) after in service.

FYI:
1) Rivets are being used to join sections
2) Paint adhesion may remain problematic
3) flaw inspection, NDI will be vital

Hey I love the new tech, but sometimes you have to laugh sometimes over things like this...
