Is there anybody left that can convert Klingon Academy models to SFC?

I'm dying to get my hands on the new crystalline entity over at Klingon Academy and Kt' Hyla's Romulan mobile shipdock

OK. There's no readme for the KA Crystalline Entity with it. Just so there's no mistakes, who do I credit for the original model and, if different, the KA model we converted from here?

3d exp can, but I have trouble gettings his models to go correctly. I think I had it on my old machine before it went screwy but I forget now what I did.

You need an app that does a good job importing .lws.There's a bunch .lwo meshes that SFC doesn't use need to be deleted and then you can add the SFC hp/dp/i.bmp for exporting. The 1st time I looked at one I thought, WTF? After a couple though, I got how it worked.

The model is by Hidden Agenda and he says its okay to convert it to SFC.

In game screen shots of the Crystalline Entity first as a replacement Sunglider and as a Dommsday Machine replacement, LOL...

I used the sunglider HP/DP. It'd probably work best as a direct replacement for that model.

Well, bad news about the Romulan MRD. While it's not impossible to convert it, it'd be a ton of work. It has 72 different materials. Some of them are textures. Some of them procedural shaders. Some have transparency. I'm afraid that I just don't have the time that it'd take for me to do it, ATM. Sorry.

Bummer, I've been waiting for two years for that model. Oh well.

Rod we truly appreciate all you do for the community. Thanks for at least having a look at it.

Maybe somebody else can look into converting it.

If you (or anyone) want to try giving it a go this will handle the lightwave files. If you get the materials sorted, and the model saved out as 3ds, getting it converted from there is easy.
