ISC invasion to be "cannon" would need to start in late era, some with the Andros.
Who says tech progression has to stop? There's all kinda of SFB refits, Partial X-refits, etc . . ., that can still be applied after 2280. I've thought about adding ships from the Trek "lost era" into the mod after 2285 (Constelation Class, Enterprise B, etc . . .) for this type of a fight. If SFB ever publishs the X1R module I'm damn sure gonna throw that stuff in! Hell, we've got the X-refits for the DNLs already done in R9 and applying the refits to BCHs is easy. The C7X was in AOTK3
Speaking of stuff the throw in . . . http://store.starfleetstore.com/merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=S&Product_Code=5630&Category_Code=SNS
Fast War Cruisers!!!!???? I almost need to buy this when it comes out to try to figure out WTF the are thinking!
If memory servers correctly, the Andro invasion was after the general war, during which many technological advances were made in ship design.
I also agree such a campaign should start at leat in the beginning of the late era.
No I'd agree- if I can get it going we'd need some kinda progresion though, I noticed really the #1 complaint on my last 2 servers (well..my only 2) was the "no tech progression is boring"
If we can introduce some kinda partial X refits it'd be easy enough. (If anyone ahs any idea of what partial X refits are...)
SFB's module X1R seems to break down the post war era as..
(from SFB boards)
Late General War Y182-Y185: The last days of the General War when some really strange boats got built. This could be a place for raiding XPFTs and XDCSs.
- - - - -
ISC Pacification Y185-Y188: Exhausted empires build a few special ships to protect their interests against the ISC.
- - - - -
Andromedan Invasion Y188-Y194: Surviving the initial Andromedan onslaught ... just barely!
- - - - -
Andromedan War, Counter-Attack, Y195-Y200: Discover the RTN, build and use special ships to hunt down the RTN and disrupt it and, sooner or later, destroy it.
- - - - -
Operation Unity Y200-202: The drive down from the galactic plane to reach the Lesser Magellanic Cloud (which is actually below us, hence the drive is down not up).
So "historically" it should start around Y188- but I don't think we have any ships that appear that late, let alone later.
