Yeah, thinking about ti again.
know we've lost a number of people (icluding Wanderer I think) who were waiting for this.

Also while I honestly don't seem to have as much interest in flying as I once did, (I think once you've beaten everyone interesting..)
still want to learn how the stupid serverkit works so...

It would pretty much be 2 sides (sans LDR) each with 2 factions working together but competing against each other as well.
Plus whatver other insanity I can steal from other people.

It depends on the timing but I would be interested. Offline life has kept me off the last two servers but maybe if you are not to quick off the ground on this one I can get in on it.

Count me in! My flying seems to come in weird disjointed chunks (much like my piloting), but at least I'm getting some time in now

Seriously have no idea when it'd run- but given that DH and Dizzy seem to have most of the "how to's" well defined wouldn't take much mroe than a week to map and run up a shiplist
Still, I'm lazy so it might take one of my "weeks"

Lyrans killing Lyrans is definately the one possible real example of a "civil" war. Just think of the advances to galactic culture if the casualty count reach sufficient numbers. Of course without the Lyrans, the Klingons wouldn't have any race to favorably compare themselves to on the basis of eductaion, but maybe they'd be inspired after falling into last place.

All I need is a map, a Shiplist, and Vidtory conditions.

The current ED missions are fine, I think my Fleeting and General rules are fine. You get me a map,a shiplist, and VCs and this can be up in a week.

You must be very burnt out from Admining A0TK3

I recommend you take an one hour vacation and then get this server up and running ASAP.

Hexx, this might not be quite what's desired, but it's an all-Lyran shiplist with the Lyran and Roms as the two opposing Lyran forces. It's based on the Lyrans from DH's AOTK shiplist, but no LDR and IIRC it just covers 2268-2281, and is meant to be two-sided, not four. If you want to hack away based on it, feel free! The Lyrans and Roms get the full Lyran shiplist, the other races and cartels get a pruned down subset. (The other races and cartels all get identical lists, so any alliance setup should be ok.)

Well- when I say 4 sided it's actually 2v2 (so it's kinda 2 sided) just with points determined for each of the 4 sides- ( although 1 side will finish 1-2 , the other 3- and 3rd runner up)
Dunno if we have ebough pilots to effectively run 4 sides though so.

I think this server is a bad idea... I mean, why would you want everyone to know how to fly and defend against a Lyran? The secrets of the ESG could be discovered en masse! NO!

Sounds great to me!. After flying with the Coalition for ATOK and not being able to fly Lyran I would welcome this server. How about having Lyran (with LDR intact) vs 4 other races. The other 4 races would be restriced to flying the race they start with to maintain diversity. The opposing players could be evenly split between the 4 races say... Rom, Fed, Hydran, and Klingon or whatever. Just an idea from a Lyran.......
