Krueg and Dfly
« on: June 30, 2007, 02:31:10 am »
Just talked to a memeber of the Coalition when Chuut and I were having an issue with 2 coalition members. The coalition member I talked to wasnt involved but was despondent over the fact that he too has had issue with one of the coalition members we were having problems with. In the course of the discussion, this coalition member revealed that drops and draft dodges are happening on the Aliiance side and they are sick of it.

I want to draw attention to this, because this behavior ruins the game for everyone when people intentionally draft dodge and dont take drafts... Please remind both sides to refresh themselves on the rules and make SURE each new member of their side understands about them especially forfeits, drops, draft dodging and redrafts...

Thx

First off, crap like this should be sent in PMs, Not posted in open forums, period.
Chutt at least had the discretion to do so with more details so that I can act on them.

Second, The Coalition has had issues with the same kind of thing the entire server with some of your newer players who seemed oblivious to the rules of the server.
I have had to drop to TS on a few occasions to ask Kitty players to tell others of the rules and to stop violating them.
One of the Kitty players outright told me "Never cared much for rules"and carried on with what he was doing.
I went thru the chain of command with my complaint, rather than simply posting about it like this.

Both sides go thru this stuff every server....It never ceases to amaze me that players can read about a campaign, download all they need and never have enough sense to bother to read the rules.
You seem to expect players to be used to your behaviors by now...
You'd think you'd be used to players, even veterens, who are unaware of the rules of a server.

I am working on getting ahold of the players in question.

And while we're at it...what should we do about those that fly together in an illegal fleet just "because it's only AI" when they're base busting?
The players involved are ALL aware of the rules on fleeting, so obviously they're doing it in direct defiance of them.

Well, I apologize beacuse earlier in the server I misunderstood the rule on that and shared that with a cpl players who, like last week, were straightened out on it. Afaik, neither myself or anyone I have winged with have ever base busted using an illegal fleet. Period. Believe me, if I see someone doing it I'll bust em.

I disagree. Posting this in the open raises awarness and no offending names were mentioned in public. Keeping this ping-ponging in back alleys and back doors have done nothing apparently to solve this issue. Time to preach it to the streets. I'm tired of it happening.

I see no reason to go thru a chain of command for simple rules violations. Public awarness allows all players to help in the reining in players who are ignorant of the rules. While RM's and Leaders arnt always on, vigilance and awarness by common players who are online helps in keeping everyone on the level. Serious complaints such as players KNOWING the rules and VIOLATING them anyway are the ones that need the private back door treatment.

Locked for obvious reasons.  When is the last time we had to bring the hammer down on a D2 Experiences thread?  I sure can't remember. :whip: :hoppinmad:

Keep your personal stuff in PMs, and Dizzy, no f-bombs, little * or not! :rules:

Oh, and don't send me PMs about it either, I don't want to hear it.

Civility, it is all I ask, nothing more.  Pretend your from Georgia, like me, then argue.l
