Think the domes need more of a copper look to it then the orange you have now, and instead of a a glow map there use a spec map for shine. As for the spikes what might work in make them vertical and place them on the upper curves of the ship. You probably make two or three different shapes and hieghts that you can use for different functions/weapons etc.
People always said they wanted the government to listen to them and now the government is listening, taking notes and names...and coming to see you soon!

The domes don't have a glow map - i think it just looks like it due to the GI lighting I am using. SFC doesn't support spec Mapping per say, but for other engines, I plan on having them. As far as color, I actually was going the same look as a Mosque or Dome of the Rock for example. - its copper at the bottom and gold on the top.
I'll see how it looks otherwise.
What shapes would you suggest for the vertical spikes?

GAFY: Its too late, but in the morning ill throw those colors on there and see what happens.

okay, so what happened around here? I mean, months ago, i wouldn't look at the forums for an hour, and an entire page would be posted on. Nowadays, i walk away for 9 hours, and two topics have been bumped... Where did everyone go?

Summer vacation!

It has always been like this, even in the old days. There are times when ppl are posting and times when they don't or look in every few weeks. I tend to look every so often unless something interests me, and if progress is going on with it like this one then I tend to look more often. Once it stops I go back to my every few weeks or so.

If I am finishing something and want feed back on a WIP, then I am there until the feed back stops or I get the idea that will finish it.
