Ok, money's no issue, what 10 cars would you have in your garage?

To get the ball rolling, here are mine:

Bugatti Veyron (253 MPH.  'Nuff said.)


Alfa Romeo 166 (Looks damn cool)


Cadillac Seville STS 1992-1997 (Always have liked the styling, and owning one hasn't changed my mind about them in the least)


Ariel Atom (Just look at it!!)

...Actually that about covers it.  I don't wanna park my 6 cars too close together in my 10 car garage :p

Anybody have 92k spare change? 

Can any of you math whiz people average out the cost of a 20 gallon tank at $2.50 a gallon and having to fill up once a week and the lifespan of that car is 150k to 200k miles? Let's say the car gets driven 15k a year.

I'm just wondering if this car is cost effective.

Now this is what I want! BTW, the Japanese have already started switching over to a 42 volt system though right now it's on the starter (Your enginge cuts off at an extended idle then when you step on the pedal the starter zings the motor into life within 200 milliseconds of pressure on the pedal). This equates into good fuel economy when you are stuck at a light or in stop and go traffic.

BTW, the Toyota Crown is for Japan only, though it is imported to Russia to the wealthy folk. If I had the dough, I would buy one in Japan and have it shipped over here. I love the steering wheel being on the other side too.

While definitely not in the price is no object category I spotted one of these while pulling into the grocery store parking lot today. What surprised the heck out of me was that it was a Pontiac! Checking the Pontiac website tells me that while the base engine is a fairly sedate 177HP2.4L the hot engine really is as it is a 260HP 2.0L. Pontiac is obviously avoiding the Ferio boondoggle by building a sports car and then not giving it sports car features.

I believe Mazda was the first to do that with an affordable, zippy but not overpowered two-seater in the early 90s, it was the Mazda Miata.

I too saw one of those Pontiacs here in Austin, but I rarely get into first year cars unless it's Toyota or Honda (Toyota releases mosts models in Japan 3 years average before the U.S., hence no problems or recalls with the Toyota hybrid Camry, Motertrend's car of the year for 2007. Now if only P/C game manufacturers would test stuff out on a small sample of the population before releasing a game, then no need for a kazillion patches.

I don't have 10, but here's my list:

'62 Ferrari 250GTO
Series I Jaguar E-Type coupé (I wanted one of these throughout my childhood. Then I got to drive one....and now I want one even more)
'69 Dodge Charger with a KB aluminium street Hemi, Gear Vendors transmission, Vector wheels and General Lee warpaint.
'98 Aston Martin Vantage V600
and a Fiat Seicento with uprated brakes, suspension, Novitec turbo engine and six speed 'box as a shopping car

And all of these could be left behind at the lights by an average old 1980's motrcycle.!!

I already am partway towards my fantasy bike garage, though the upkeep, maintainance, running costs,  insurance, road tax , retoration, etc. of 15 bikes not to mention time is a real hastle.

A friend has 137 bkes in his stable from the 1950's to date. Most need TLC  after long lives of toil.

I'm after a 1954 JAWA Type 15 500cc OHC twin which was lightyears ahead of its day then. Just compare one to a BSA 500 or Harley of the same year. They were'n't imported into the UK just the US and everywhere else.

It's always the vehicles made of unonbtainium that  we always want.

Possibly, but given that:

a) I'm heterosexual (), and
b) don't like dressing up as a Power Ranger

motorbikes just aren't my thing 

Apart from certain Ducatis, that is....a friend of my Dad had a 916 DesmoQuattro (4 pot with desmodromic valvegear). That sounded utterly glorious on full chat. I wouldn't want to ride it everywhere, for the reasons I gave above. But I could listen to it going round a track all day....

Over here in the UK non-hetrosexuals, wooses, etc.  stick to scooters, etc.

I prefer bikes.

I can't stand the Power Rangers clones. They can't ride for toffee and are just clueless posers. Proper bikes don't have fairings or sound like tractors.

I build my own bikes.

I used to drag race bikes until my son came along in 1989.

And the number one reason........

All the best good bad girls go for real men on bikes!!

I too build my own bikes but unfortunatelly it's simply not practical to ride every day nor is it economical to drive every day. I mix it up, and even throw my bicycle into the mix as I love to ride but the nature of the midwest drivers make any 2 wheel trek anywhere local a RL crapshoot- the bike rules on the highway tho.

But if I had to choose a good road bike gimme a GXS-r (I'll settle for a 750), and I'll even wear the power ranger suit as long as it's not pink.
