  I wonder if people like mr. You-Cheng Hsieh can be persuaded to do something about mods that are only partially working like for instance NDF . I am sorry that i keep going on about this but i realy love that mod and it is a crying shame that it only partially works.

You need the original developer's permission to continue working on a mod project. This is not only polite, but also the rule. If the developers did not leave any means for contact, when this mod is discontinued, it's dead.

Don't even want to try using a discontinued mod as base and make a new mod with a different name, that's not allowed either.

I am sorry that i asked this but i have been trieing to find out who made this mod and the names are nowhere to be found. Also the mod itself is still available at filefront. So if it is dead why do they leave it in there? In my view they only leave it in there in the hope that someone will know what to do to make it work 100%. Otherwise there is no logical reason for keeping it.

I wish you good luck. As far as I know, nobody here wants to be blamed for stealing other people's mods. At least I won't do it myself, I have my own mod to maintain.

Credits and Permissions are very important, and possibly the most important thing in any modding community. You cannot make any mods without them, unless you create mods from scratch.

You cannot just take over other people's mods because its developer doesn't leave his name. I think I've explained it very clear on this matter.

I did not say "take it over"! I just wanted an opportunety to play the Romulans in NDF. But if no one bothers to repair a mod that works for just 25 % than if i were an admin of filefront , i would KICK that mod out of play all together. Everyone who plays NDF would like to see that mod working for 100% , the only problem is that none of them knows how to make it work all the way. I believe that if a mod does not work for 100% than it has NO busyness being in filefront or anywhere else for that matter. So if nobody cares to do anything about it than i say to hell with it.

P.S. I never said steel this or that . I would like to find out who made it to contact them and ask them to make that mod work for 100%. If that is not possible than i would like to ask filefront to get rid of it.
