Watching the Shuttle with my 8 yr old...
« on: June 18, 2007, 09:27:30 pm »
We watched the Shuttle arc overhead a few minutes ago. 2 minute duration, a couple of "wows" and a "cool dude" from the little guy. Got the usual your geeks look from the wife. Phtttt!!! Can't wait to geekify the baby once he's old enough, just in time to  see the last of the shuttles fly over at night.

Simple pleasures, life is good.

You must be somewhere near me because I was just out watching it with my 6 yo Son. He was very impressed at how fast and bright it was.

Life is good sometimes, right NJ?

I meant to post more pics on the upsidedown hangers, but it seems that only the large tomato plants do well, the salad variety are dying.

Not one of my proudest moments, but hey, a free tomato is a free tomato, right? I know how to slice and dice a big tomato to go into my salad.

I can't complain when I can enjoy the simple Things. BUT...... my dang tomatoe plants are not even a foot high yet. Maybe I need to experiment with one of those upside down planters to hold me over till August.
