The Children of Hurin

Has anyone read this book?  I am not a big fan of the books by Christopher Tolkein, I do like the Silmarillion as it was mostly there at least.  (Not all I'm sure.)  If anyone's read this I'd be interested in hearing your opinion.  Maybe I need to make a run to the library and see if they have it.

Well, I guess no one has read it yet.  Maybe that tells me something.   ;D

Well, I haven't read it, but it is still on the best seller list (third as of last week I think) so somebody must like it.

I am going to read this as soon as I finish reading Martin's "A Storm of Swords" (book 3 in his A Song of Ice and Fire series).

Who knows... I may find something worth writing a parody about.   ;)

Excellent books! I am rereading A Feast for Crows already and can't wait for the next one.

Soon....just finished the three book Dune - Prequel series cause I got em hardback $5 at the used bookstore downtown and they were handly...I will read it soon...it is hot item at library and am on the list...if good, I will pick it up...I have the snippet of the story in allliterative verse and of course a couple copys of the silmarrilion...the ARC of story is pretty epic indeed and I am confident that ole Chris did another bangup job assembling his fathers contridictory fragments into a single cohesive whole. There was a tremendous amount of material that was "left" out of the story as presented in the Silm...and now we get to read it from begining to end with the pieces finally assembled, though stitched and streatch to fit the other bits a neccessary modification of the original fragments of text.
