Unless this is for the Mirror Universe Imperials, I'm having a hard time seeing this as standard fare for the "peace-loving" Federation...

Also it looks like a variant on the TMP era timeship I saw somewhere else recently.

This is a very detailed and well-kitbashed Voyager-era refit of the TMP Lynx-class timeship prototype. It is apparent that a lot of effort was put into it and it is well presented.

As to the design of the ship itself, it is certainly a more credible tug-type ship than that abortion-on-toast they used in DS9.

That said, I don't think the Federation would ever name any ship the USS Death. Doesn't match with their ideals and purpose. The Mirror Universe Terran Empire probably would, but they'd not waste such a "cool" name on a mere tug.

Hmm...a Timeship prototype refitted to a tug?
Now, that has absolutely no sence to me...moreover, to add a hull section of a state of the art ship class, and fuse it to a ~100 y/o hull type...no chance, because the Lynx would be top secret and would stay top secret, atleast for a couple of hundred years. Hell, I wouldn't be surprised if knowledge of timeship tech would be restricted to the few of the StarFleet Temporal Core, and wouldn't allow any knowledge of it's ships and moreover even usage of their ship hulls outside their Core at all.

Sorry, I ain't biting this one at all.

i dont know adonis, since its obviously an intepid variant, and as tugs and haulers are normaly tried and tested designs. the intrepid has been tried and tested, but this design (if indeed a failed timeship design) could possibly be used  say towards the end of the design phase say late 25th century
By that time the Lynx timeship hull would be >200 years old. And it wasn't a failed timeship experiment. As I said, no way on earth that the Temporal Core would allow it's tech to leak to the standard StarFleet.

Maybe it depends on where you're doing the pulling? Instead of pulling from somewhere maybe it's from "sometime". ;)

I would probably change the nacelles and the plating (it's a bit busy for me) on the rear hull. Love the profile though. I'm an Intrepid-class fan though.

Not trying to steal his thunder here, I initially did not realise that uss_uss_arkansas design was intended to be a tug. So I bashed up a design based on his, and using more intepid parts (scaled differently)

The overall shape is nice, nothing like the lynx (old) and i think it is now fesable  :)

arkansas   Im not trying to steal ur idea dude, this idea popped in my mind the other day as a variation the community would like so i decided to post it, if you want it removed please just ask and  will gladly do so.

Im not claiming this design as it is a complete bash  :-\  However this community thrives on a difference in opinion in the thing we all love!! Trek! and this thread makes a great read and it is a pleasure to add to it  :)

 Thanks Geks !

You enhance my design , I really don't minded the changes . Death Class is a Heavy Tug or Starship Space Wrecker.

Time-tech, never...

Design of ship so that you can play "plausible deniability" if the time-ship outline is seen, yep... :P
