t00l Delegated very well on SG06.   I don't think you need to be there 24 hours a day.

There will always be moments of command gaps during a server, just like during a war.  You do your best to address these and have  key people to fill in gaps where you can.  Kreug has consistantly done an excellent job but even he has gaps from time to time, so don't worry too much, do what you can do, get the right people helping you, and have fun.

When I knew I was going to have an absence ahead of time during AOTK II I temporarily turned command over to a race RM.  Mutt did a great job of picking up the ball, as I knew he would for those couple of days.  The basic plan was already laid out with some flexibility.  Having initiative and some leeway he made the right decisions. 

The key is having people that are able to make the call when you aren't around, and allowing them enough freedom to do so.  Also, and most importantly allowing them to have fun doing so, alomng with everyone on your team.

Oh, one more thing, the leader has to be decisivive and have enough ego to sell his plans to the team so that they can have confidence to follow the plans, but still be open-minded enough to see the merits of other ideas that teamates give to him and choose the best course.

After much debate, and knowing no one seems to really want the position of top alliance person, I will nominate myself.  I know others said they may take it if no one steps up.  I also know that DH and Chutt, and Julin can lend support for me.  I will be away for parts of the Month of June and this is why I have not stepped up yet.  With the added support behind me, I feel we can do a great job of keeping people interested.  Besides, I want to fly one of those prestigious ships as it appears they are nearly never destroyed  .

Lyran CC+ is a deadlier Legendary ship... 2275 makes it into a monster.

I did not realize you could use the CC into a legendary ship.  a CCZ legendary could also be scary with nearly DN power, and CL turnmode.
