Just do it Chuut...    ;D

Doesn't fit with my roleplay ideas, I'll be behind the scenes......manipulating...... :P

The threeway was setup for me leading, a two way requires a different role for me.

Contemplation contemplation...

Comes to realize that the retirement checks are better than the thrill of the chase, at least as long as there is a 2 year old child willing to disrupt every command opportunity her father would take...

Will fill the slot (primarily in name and forum presense only) if nobody else would want the slot.  Since we have plenty of quality candidates (Dizzy), I'd rather one of them take the job instead of me having to do another butcher job where I'd barely make server most of the time...

You know how evil an I-CAY with a legendary crew is?

You know how quickly my 2 year old "Ensign Cuddles" can scuttle that ship, permanently?

Or how quickly "Admiral Wifey" can get that ship dry-docked and me involuntarily reassigned for the entire campaign?  As it is, she busted her foot causing the RIS Dyer's Eve to spend over the last week of SGO7 on blocks...  (and I so wanted to try out plasma fighters in my SUK, I only managed to fly her with photon fighters...)

Like I said, retirement checks are better right now... ;)

Remember that a CAYL is considered a LINE ship for fleeting purposes. So that Legendary ship is basically your third leg in a 3 way fleet. Nasty, eh? Imagine a Fast cruiser, a DN and one of those. Someone doesnt fly the fast (real fast) game they are dead...

So is the KRCSL.   43 power with an A turn mode.  Will Kreug be  Romulan this time?

I love the drama . . . .

I thought a Fast cruiser was considered a capital for fleeting, therefore it cannot run with a DN right?

Here is a quote from the rules:

Fleeting Rules:

- No Capital Ships, (BC's, DN's, Multi-Ship Fleet included and CCX/CAX's), are allowed to fly together.
- No X ships are allowed to fly together.
- Fast Cruisers are treated as Capital ships.

Not anymore. The rules will be revised because they were too restrictive. I think relaxing them so Fast cruisers can wing with anything else that isnt fast... like fast dreads and other fast cruisers. But with the third ship being a line ship, that really levels the playing field and will allow us to see a few more fast cruisers in the game. Admit it, fast cruisers really didnt play a part in last server...

all this talk about how dangerous a CAY would be yet it would not even be out till 2270.  The actual ISC CA has 3 plasma G and becomes the CAW in 2265 and later the CAT and CATZ.
The other CA is the CAP,which has the 1 ppd and 2 plasma G does not come out till 2268 and it's upgrade is the CAY in 2270.

Of course, someone could always  allow the CAY to come out earlier(hint hint).

Lyran CC+ is a deadlier Legendary ship... 2275 makes it into a monster.

I have a few questions before I make a more definite decision to be a SCC.

How often would one have to show up?

And how much work is involved in being one?

Also how much 'nip would I get? ;D

From a past SCC:

How often would one have to show up?
As often as possible

And how much work is involved in being one?
Depends.  It's the evolved head RM post of the team, so if it's a dispute free server, not too much.  Still have to write daily battle plans, keep the troops focused, help deal with oddball conditions that require mid-server rule changes, and be able to handle any/all questions on the rules...

Also how much 'nip would I get? ;D
Never bothered to check, being 'nip's not my thing.  Watched much enter the contraband vaults, though... ;)

It's a daily job. You need to post ops, get your players motivated, keep them motivated. You need to be leading from multiple levels... It's a damned tough job and the one who has been the most consistent and successful at it, imo, doesnt get the credit he deserves. It's a thankless job really... Just like running servers. I'll leave him nameless, but after AOTK2 which saw me move into a temp co-lead position with Hooch as his backup when he wasnt on, I realized quickly how tough a job it is and if you arnt 100% dedicated, let someone else that has the time do it. That's why I'm not sure, I dont think I'll be there 100%. DH missed a few hours and because of Hexx and the lack of backup RM's just a few hours made the difference in several VC's that could easily had been saved. So it's crucial you be there at all times. Give players your cell phone number, all that.  Don't sleep. Eat breathe and live the server for a month. Love the game and hate your enemy. Basically u just have to wire the server connection into your ass and you're ok.

t00l Delegated very well on SG06.   I don't think you need to be there 24 hours a day.

t00l in SGO6 setup, before the server started, a clear line of command from himself down to race RMs, and even day & night shift leaders.  Even when he was not able to do his "leadership duties", other players knew what to expect, and who would typically up to do it.

Most importantly, he reached out to each and every alliance member he could find that had played in the last few campaigns and sent them PM's and even blackmailed a few to make sure they'd show up and fight.
