Recognition Awards for SGO7: Round Two
« on: April 24, 2007, 04:37:19 pm »
Who do you think should get an award?

1.  Most feared PvP adversary
At this point for me, probably the AI. They are giving a better fight than the Coalition. At least I can FIND the AI in battle despite being outnumbered constantly by Coalition players...
J/K! hahaha. I'd say, and I hate to say it, Velvet Acid Christ. Even tho he is 0 and 2 or 3 against me, VAC can beat me. He's gutsy, takes risks, flies a little bit like me... and acts like me... Hrmmm.

2.  Best sportsman
Holdover from Round One: Chuut. Knew his CVA could take on and kill Paladin and Omega's CL's he offers a friendly match in a black hole hex for fun. Kudos.

3.  Bravest stand against long odds
In a match with VelvetAcidChrist's Z-NCC "Skinny Puppy" he kills WG-Malaks I-CAy? and Ternados F-CAD. Amazing.

4.  Most impressive performance in a single mission
Duck in his C7. Ripped my CCZ good even thought I totally thought I had him, over and over and over... He was a sponge. He denied me the kill each and every time I went for it. gg.

5.  Most impressive performance overall
Velvet Acid Christ. Gave My DVL a very bloody nose when I tried to run him out of a hex with his lesser sized ship. Always goes all the way in battle making you pull out all the tricks. A very dangerous opponent indeed.

6.  Most impressive improvement

Aviator. Getting much better and more confident in battle.

Edit: 7. Best Troll
Holdover from round one - Crim   ;)

1.  Most feared PvP adversary
Anyone flying A Gorn ship, if they feel they can play as Gorn they must be good.  Even Dizzy avoids Gorn for the most part.

2.  Best sportsman
Soreyes, after besting me in a dual he agreed to a fun match with me grabbing the PF variant of my ship

3.  Bravest stand against long odds
Soreyes as well, trying to defend a planet when standing alone and 7-9 enemy hitting it.

4.  Most impressive performance in a single mission
Tie Bearslayer for besting me in an even fight and Soreyes for doing the same.

5.  Most impressive performance overall
Evil Dave for the database editor tools, from what Dizzy tells me its remarkable.  In game, Soreyes for reasons already mentioned.

6.  Most impressive improvement
Soreyes, he flys ISC much more competently than he used to.

Geez I hate to comment on #3 but as I was accidentially drafted into this battle, had partial control of my ship throughout the mission until the BSOD occured I didn't even get to see my death. Anyone got the film on this battle ?? I'd sure like to see it, as well as a rematch against VAC, I congradulate him on the vic and I won't dispute it but I don't think an award should be in order for this battle.

Sounds like a "host left mission" Anyone see that message? If so, they should have announced it right away and there could have been a redraft.
