SG7 Wild Geese Please Read
« on: April 11, 2007, 07:21:14 pm »
WG on the coalition please talk to Krueg for orders on switching to the Alliance. I'd like to ask anyone who is playing on the coalition side to post here if they would consider switching. We are looking for only 4 to 5 players. Once we have some names, we will talk to Krueg and decide which volunteers and geese flip. Thanks guys.

You want to be the admin of this server? I'll hand it right over to you I swear, you just say the word. I'll do it right now. You just take over my job so all I have to do is play and not worry about all the things I've got to do to make this server work on a daily basis.

Till then, I'd appreciate it if you'd lay the hell off crim and let me run the server in the best interest of this community. There's an installer thread you can sticky of you want to be helpful...

Can someone move this to a mod only forum?

I don't care who is right or wrong... just this shouldn't be out in the open.

I think there is still some discussion about if, who, when, how many etc., Soreyes, wait till you hear from Lord Kreug.

And I agree with Skyflyer, this should be on RM forums only.

So will you be annexing my current account or are you going to setup a second (alliance) account mirroring my stats. I sure would like to keep my ship as I've been practicing in it (exclusively) for the last 3 weeks but I suppose I could get back in touch with my ISC side.

And just for the record, Dizzy- I think this move is VERY premature on a 3 week server, but I'll switch if you promise not to shut down the server because you getting your a** kicked.

Once Krueg tells me everyone who is switching then I'll take care of it during the next DB clean... I can simply switch your race that way u keep your ship and prestige. What race do you want to switch to with your current account.. and what is your current account name?

This is getting out of hand. Guys, let it be known I can take critizism and encourage suggestions, but when you tell me how to run my own servers and then put words in my mouth like I'm threatening to shut down the server unless I get my way, I never said that... Things can spiral out of control.

Now I suggest you all trust in me to be the server admin for BOTH sides Coalition and Alliance and believe in me to the run the server in the interests of BOTH sides for the good of the community. I have been here a long time and been running servers for just about as long and have played on both the Alliance and Coalition sides of the fence for many servers so I think I know something here about fairness and can be objectionable without playing favorites. So trust me guys.

I need the account names of the 4-5 peeps switching and what races they want to switch to. I'll likely change your location to the capital of the race you choose.

For all the coalition players who think Dizzy is being premature about asking for Geese players, the easy way to boycott his idea is to not give him any names.

But, if their are players on your side which would like to have that opportunity, who are you to say that they shouldn't have it?

Krueg I'd like to know tonight who these players are so I can take care of their race switching if they want to retain their earned pp. They need to switch by tonight.

Dizzy, I've told you already...
KBF Trajan, KBF Malak, Soreyes and BC11 (aka Stargazer) who has laready switched.
What their EXACT screennames are, I don't know.
I've posted in the Coaltition forums already telling them to post theier PP earned so far so you can transfer it. (It's only fair and you did that on SGO6)
On SGO6, we got 4 WG...3 of which pretty much quit playing after they were forced to switch.
Only Soreyes played it out.
WTF else do you want me to do?

IMOHPO...WG are a band-aid to the lack of SC support and control.
I've dealt with it for the last 3 servers as Coalition RM...Welcome to the club.

Face it, One side just can't win them all.
If they did, it just wouldn't be any fun now would it?

Still 2 and 1/2 weeks in a 3 week server...it's not over...too much can happen yet.
As many Vets here know, it wouldn't be the first server that turned around in the final hours.

Sorry, didn't read this earlier- I created a new account (just to be messed with), I'd appreciate it if you left the original account alone as I promise not to use it, I just want 'insurance' that I'll have my original account if I'm no longer needed by the alliance. I'll PM you the account numbers, and I'll need access to the alliance forums.

Ya, but we dont have a blow out yet, and you're stretching my words... and taking them out of context. As I have been doing for the past three servers, I usually try to flip the geese every three days under two criteria, but dont assume this is a set precedent for future WG deployment, the first being there are a difference of more than 30 hexes (depending on DV) flipped of original enemy space AND the player numbers are more than three to one on average.

Now combine that with our Alliance Leader having never shown up at all for our side and you have my reasoning being plainly clear.

This is the sixth day of the server. I'd need to have the WG fly for the Alliance starting today. I will reevaluate the player numbers in 3 days and if the Alliance is able to get their player numbers stabilized and get into the game, those WG may go back to their first choice of sides. Obviously the server wil be put on hold if there is no competition for the Coalition. Can anyone say GW5? No sense in running a campaign when all there is to do is hex flip with no one to oppose you.
