If the syndicate are the only ones using that, then its not a problem.

No problem then - the actual Rom/Gorn entries for those fighters use different models and are ok
(the syndicate ones are just the donor entry then?)

The fighterlist is the same as SGO6 and apparantly those models were missing on that as well, I think we'll be okay with that.

Step3:  Install the SGO7 Patch for the SGO6 installer:
http://69.125.26.106:9000/images/SGO7.msi

I don't suppose anyone knows how to get the windows installer service back up and running?

Until I get it going... I ain't installing SGO7 because that is the error I am getting...

I can post the files with directions as to where they can be installed if you can't get this working.   I'll do that in the morning and PM it to you.   But seriously, if your Windows installer server is f*cked your PC's got bigger problems.

Start>run>services.msc
Scroll down to windows installer it should be set to manual and not be started as it should only start when an msi file is run. Could try right clicking and selecting start if it is set up right. Could also try installing the update http://support.microsoft.com/kb/893803 and see if that fixes your problem.

No problem, I know windows likes to break itself in such fun and difficult to diagnose ways. Now if I could just fix my own computer so easily  :(

Why do DH's installers hate me oh so very much?

Not working for me- ftrlst and a huge mu,ber of missions failing crc check.

Even tried installing SG06 into an emprty directory, applying the 7 installer overtop, then copying missions and ftrlist over.
Not working.

Anyone have the missions and lists ***NOT*** in an installer so I can just plug them in?

I had to unstall SGO6 (while the active campagn in 'mod chooser'), reinstall SGO6 (fresh download), select it in 'mod chooser', install SGO7, select SGO7 in 'mod chooser',install the second SGO7 file(the msi file), select SGO7 again in Mod chooser (it asked if I wanted to create a new mod this time so I entered in "SGO7" and selected it from the list of installed mods), and it appears to work- no CRC errors anymore.

This is why I never uninstall these campaign mods- I end up having to manually edit files and delete directories to remove these things (lest I reformat and reinstall everything as suggested occasionally)

Check C:\Program Files\Taldren Software Inc\Starfleet Command Orion Pirates the sgo7 update put the files there for me even though I told it different and I had exactly the same CRC errors by the sounds of what you are saying. Then just copy those files across to where you need.

Follow the directions exactly as in the 1st post. For those that manually want to install the ship/ftrlist find them attached as a zip and they go in this folder: C:\Program Files\Taldren Software Inc\Starfleet Command Orion Pirates\Assets\Specs

Sticky this thread and the kill thread plz...

Some players are having difficulty because the installer will not instal to other than the C drive for some reason. Can someone host the files for manual installation or alter the installer so it will redirect files to thye selected drive upon instal? Models, scripts and the ftr/shiplist all need to be installed or the game wont function properly.

Q. If the game is on the D drive doesnt the installer instal something unto the C drive anyway? If it does cannot the files simply be copied and pasted?
