TOS Federation Pack (12-05-2006)
« on: October 25, 2006, 03:33:59 pm »
Hey guys,

I apologize for the lack of updates concerning my shuttles, but I've taken yet another break from them (due to unsightly drama) and have started another project for the interim.

I give you my TOS Federation Pack, which will be ported for all 3 SFC versions (once I learn how to port for SFC 3).

Anyway - Enjoy! Comments welcome!

NOTE: The models you are about to see are designed for BC and Legacy. SFC versions will not include animated bussards.

The Constitution Class, USS Enterprise, as seen in the 1st Pilot episode "The Cage"

The Constitution Class, USS Enterprise, as seen in the 2nd Pilot episode "Where No Man Has Gone Before" (still needs to be textured).

The Constitution Class as seen in TOS episodes such as: "The Man Trap", "The Ultimate Computer", and "Balance of Terror":

The Saladin and Hermes Classes as seen on the computer screens of Star Trek III: The Search for Spock:

The difference between the Saladin Class and the Hermes Class is that the Saladin Class has torpedo launchers, and two additional sets of phaser emitters. The Hermes Class has only one set of Phaser emitters, and they are set in the ventral saucer hull, forward.

The Ptolemy Class (with and without a Cargo Pod) as seen on the computer screens of Star Trek III: The Search for Spock:

The Ptolemy Class will also have a Personnel Transport Pod available, and a variant with a shuttlebay.

!NEW!The TOS Miranda, based somewhat off of the ST: Legacy version for XBox 360 !NEW!

Other ships that will be available (but have no pics of yet) are the:

Destroyat Class
Nobel Class (TOS Oberth)

Also, with the 3rd version of the Connie, I will be making the following Constitution Class ships:

USS Constitution, NCC-1700
USS Constellation, NCC-1017
USS Defiant, NCC-1764
USS Eagle, NCC-956
USS Enterprise, NCC-1701
USS Excalibur, NCC-1664
USS Exeter, NCC-1672
USS Farragut, NCC-1647
USS Hood, NCC-1703
USS Intrepid, NCC-1631
USS Lexington, NCC-1709
USS Potemkin, NCC-1657
USS Republic, NCC-1371
USS Yorktown, NCC-1717

I'm currently working on the textures for the Ptolemy Class and 1 Cargo Pod. Having some troubles getting the textures to line up on the cargo pod properly. Will try to work on it some this week, as well as finishing up the rest of the ships. That way I can finally start working on the textures for the rest of them.

Finished the Ptolemy with 1 Cargo Pod's diffuse colors. Cube's helping me work out a new spec map for my TOS ships, one he feels will make them look more realistic. I've also started modeling the TOS Miranda, what some of you might also refer to as the Surya Class. But for Legacy purposes (as that is the primary platform these ships are being built for), I'm calling it Miranda, since the XBox 360 version calls the TOS Miranda, the Miranda Class.

Alright folks, I've updated the thread. I've now included pics for the Miranda Class of the TOS (not TMP) era. It's based somewhat off the design seen in Star Trek: Legacy on XBox 360. But still has some of my own elements to it.

I'm currently in the process of mapping the Miranda. Once that's done and she's textured, I will start the texturing process for the other two Connies, before finishing up the last two ship designs still under construction: the Nobel Class, which I might rename to Oberth Class, and the Destroyat Class.

Hey guys, sorry for the lack of updates on here. Since joining the UU mod team, I've been posting most of my updates on Chris Jones' site.

But so far I've finished two of the 3 Connies, 2 of the 3 Ptolemy's, the Miranda, the Saladin, and the Hermes. I've got them ingame in Legacy, and will export them for Starfleet Command 1, OP, and SFC III.

I'll post shots later.

...and you're gonna do this when, exactly???  ::)

Just joking. Seriously though, I hope that it's sooner rather than later.

If you replace the nacelles on the TOS Miranda with SCNN types you have the 0(FR 1900 - 1929) Quillen Class.

The Ptolomey was derived from the earlier (CL 1353 - 1369) Hunt Class light cruisers.

If you have the high bridge dome, remove the pod and cargo plate from a Ptolomey, add a short vertical section and on the front of this fix the deflector dish then you have a Hunt Mk.I.

Remove the neck altogether and just have a saucer with legs and nacelles to have a Hunt Mk.II.

The neck was removed to provide an arc for an additional aft torpedo launcher. Armament as for a Ptolomey apart from LS/RS phasers, FA/RA torpedoes.

Hunts are a general purpose light cruiser usually found escorting convoys due to similarity in warp signature to Ptolomeys. Not quite upto NCLs but better than a CL.

Putting a top nacelle and fin onto a Saladin creates the one off FR 546 Nelson experimental destroyer to frigate conversion (which was abandoned by 2275).

A Connie with the nacelles mounted out of the hull flat wise makes a Fargo Class heavy destroyer.

Good on the Detroyat Class. A much need TOS period ship.

The Klingons have many ways to fry a cat. I prefer to use an L7 Fast Battlecruiser!!
