Star Wars Figurine

yesterday i was looking at figurine and one was interesting, its a R2 unit of Darth Vader, the problem is when he was anakine he use R2 D2 only, so i was wondering where did the see Vader with a R2 units?

Vader would have had an R-unit in the Jedi fighter he flew prior to the intro of the TIE.
Since R2's are the best out of that series (and he had experience tinkering with one), he'd probably get one of them.
The only time that Vader ever used R2D2 was to get from Sidious's lair to Padme's pad to Mustafar.
