Topic: Ship Edit Query??? (Read 2008 times)

As I have d/l tons of new ships for SFC2, I thought I would add a few new classes with Ship Edit.....hmmmm...

Problem is it wont let me add a new Fed Dreadnaught to the game.... And oh, how i have tried....

Its all very frustrating..... please can someone help and save what little hair i have

whit what did you try to add ned ship?, if you can find it use the eagle eye ship edit, i use it for sfc2/op and its fine.

I'm using Eagle eye ship edit...... maybe my bpv has worked out too high......it just wont let me add another dreadnought...

if you fire up sfc2 it'll appear in the vessel library, then if you start a skirmish it disappears from the library, then when you come back out its gone from the front page library aswell !!!!!!

I'm tempted to give up but ive got more madel variants than classes and i want to use em....

Hmmm? This is a new one! Have you ever added other ships with ShipEdit before?
Just wondering if you have any experience w/ShipEdit? If not, Chris Jones' site
had a ShipEdit video tutorial that I used when I first started useing ShipEdit
that you might find usefull.

yeah, I've used it before plus I've added some new ships already.... it just wont let me add a DN.......... I'll check out Chris's site though, it might throw some light up.....

do you have the shiedit for op, i cant use the one i have cause it was not install on this com and i dont have the new mod on the old so i can't use the shipedit on my old com.

Well i have the orig ver3.02... plus the 2meg patch to update it to ver3.99beta.....

It wouldn't work in either, by the way.....

I've never had any problem adding with ship edit to EAW or OP and have 10-12 Dn 's that I have added just for feds alone.
Post the specs and see if anyone has a similar problem loading it. I have a pretty wide variety of custom weapon configurations and have never encountered a issue like this.
Make sure your "hull type" is set to DN. Did you try copying a current DN and then altering specs rather than adding new from scratch?

well i got annoyed and deleted it..... though i have decided to try again through a combination shipedit and shiplist editing.... if i run into trouble though i'll post what i'm having a go at added and you chaps can play around with it....
