Yo ho-ho and a bottle of rum, it's that time of year again

What will be the best movie of 2007?

I think spiderman (Even in his black suit) has best put his web slinger away, POTC 3 looks to be ROCKING!  ;D

 ;)

What's your opinion? Can Spiderman compete? IMHO, Spiderman has gone the way of Star Wars, now Spiderman must deal with the "dark side" IF they truly adhere to what Venom was.

BTW, it's just amazing at how rich Orlando Bloom will be after doing two of the most renowned trilogies of all time.

Did ya'll know he was not expecting anything at all in life since he broke his back 1 year before casting of LOTR? That dude has some serious guardian angels on his side!  ;)

Also, Orlando did his own stunts in LOTR, which a lot of doctors told him before when he broke his back that he would never be able to do. Ooooopppssss, I guess doctors do not know it all.

I think Ghost Rider has a good chance.  Granted, Nick Cage's acting was barely adequate, but the storyline, Eva Mendez's curves, Sam Elliot's and Peter Fonda's acting and performances more than help the movie.

I'm also waiting for The Simpsons Movie and Shrek the Third.

Looking forward to seeing The Bourne Ultimatum.

I actually thought The Bourne Supremacy, was a far better film than, Identity.

Hoping this trend will follow with the next installment. :)

Spidey 3 is already generating the hype. It also gets released before POTC 3. You gotta love the way these Hollywood types try to conduct movie releases as to AVOID conflict, so it makes their movie look better numberwise.

My guess is Spidey will rule for 3 weeks, but when POTC 3 comes out, that's all she wrote.  ;D

Personally I think they screwed up with Spidey, if anyone should be coming around it should be Willam DeFoe's son with a case of the arse.

Don't forget that Harry Potter comes out in July, also.  Going to be a big, BIG year at the box office, overall.

Movie everyone must see, Grindhouse.  Tarantino and Rodriguez double feature.  It'll be beautiful.

It'll be Tarantino... you'll need to sneak a quart of 90-weight into the theater and get blasted during the credits to be able to enjoy it. The Kurt Russell part looks something approaching cool... but only because the homicidal stuntman reminds me of a dark-side version of Snake Plissken.

Spidey will  rule the box office till PoTC3, and PoTC3 will hold it till Harry Potter.

Agreed.  I was disappointed with the second after really, really enjoying the first.

Agreed.  I was disappointed with the second after really, really enjoying the first.

Only real problem with the second was- like the LoTR movies- that it was DESIGNED to have a sequal, so it was rather a let-down at the end.
