I learned a new lesson about cars today
« on: March 24, 2007, 09:13:01 pm »
Was changing the plugs in the ex-wife's Camry and changing oil in my Camry today.

I always buy NGK, but shy away from platinum cause it's all hype. Saw a label that said Iridium plugs only. I was like "WTF is an Iridium plug?"

Turns out it is one bad arse spark plug!

120,000 miles? I change at 60k, but it's nice to know that it can go double that if you want.

The price? Same as a platinum plug, go figure! What will YOU buy?  ;D

I also love that Mobil one performance synthetic oil, 15,000 miles baby! Mobil one sells a double capacity filter vs a regular Toyota or Fram for a couple of bucks more. So I only pay 8 bucks to change the filter at 7,500 miles and add a lil bit more Mobil one.

Meanwhile at Jiffy Lube, $21.99 special for regular oil and a regular filter? SCREW YOU Jiffy Lube!
