Mission Test for SGO7
« on: March 04, 2007, 06:12:43 pm »
Shiplist is simply OP+4.0
Latest mission pack is here:
http://www3.telus.net/NuclearWessels/sfc/downloads/EDWarpPatrols.exe
The sooner these missions are thoroughly tested, the sooner SGO7 will start!

Used the link at the top of the thread, get missing various missions message....
Sure thought I downloaded it and ran it correctly?
Just me or anyone else seeing that?

met_edenemypatrol
met_edplayerpatrol
met_edwarpbaseassault

*sigh*
checked whole thread, got mission pack dated Jan 15, it shows it's installing, putting it into scripts...but sure don't see those missions... :-\

What exactly needs testing?  Ran a few missions.  Things seem OK.  Was PvP checked out the last time we were testing these?

I just reinstalled OP, patched it up, OP+, EDWarpMissions.  All set here.

I believe PvP was what needed to be tested more. Very little was done before due to low player population.
And, as of a few minutes ago, don't even show the test server up right now, but it was last night.

That download will get me on the ed server but not the sgo test server. What's up with that?

I'll check when I get home from work and see if the test server is up.   ;D

Is there a new download for the server???

And while flying on the test server... ;)
Try and note the exact name of the mission each time in case you see something odd going on.
ANY mission wierdness should be reported...this thread's a s good as any.
And try and test them with a wing and in PvP especially.
The sooner we confirm all missions are OK, or at least most of them, the sooner we can proceed with SGO7.  ;)
So get on and run some missions!  ;D

Aren't there just two missions?  The patrol one and the Terrain Assault one?

There are at least 5 that were having some issues, and have been updated, and about a dozen missions all together in the pack.
This thread has some of the details about the missions and bugs found so far:

Im thinking we also  need the set up for sgo 7 alliences and all the other stuff in the  test server. IIRC Bonk was concerned that what  might work correctly on a stock server might not work correctly in a modified one.
If im correct in rembering this then all the testing and stuff we do could  be for nothing.
Im still flying on the ED Hell server testing tho and will let any one know what if anything i find.

At 4:30 a.m. EST the test server was not up.  I did fly on the ED Hell server.

Have the PvP bugs that we found last time be ironed out?  If I try to organize another test, will people show up this time?   ;D

In the interest of a multi-national player base who also has all the RL things to deal with...
Is it possible to leave the test server up for more than a few hours?
Having a few days notice of a scheduled test might also help rather than something like "Test Tonight at 8 pm".

You should get a bunch of frustrated players needing a fix to show up, since the forge isn't up. Unfortuenately I work straight evenings now. so as Kreug suggests, leave it up for more than a few hours if you can please.

Hopefully within about a week I'll scribble down a list of all the bugs folks have found in the current set, and will try to get one more revision out by, say, March 21st.  Theoretically that'll give folks time to do some testing on the revision and still have time to fall back on the SGO6 pack if anything craps out.
