mod fighter problem

when the Klingon send there fighter (the cylon fighter from the original bsg (available at the battleclinic) the game crash, i recheck to see if the mod was where it suppose and it is, i check to see if i place it on the right game (i got 6 installation of sfc, 3 eaw 3 op)  and its there, so i check if i gave the right name (i use ship edit) and its OK, i can view it with mod viewer but in the game the fighter is never there and the game crash, so anyone can tell me why it keep happening?

I would check the shiplist, a missing comma or period etc. would cause such a game reaction. Check the Shiplist entry  :)

Check the ftrlist.txt to see if the model's directory is correct.

i did, i use the shipedit and it always the same stuff, the vipers are ok but the cylon fighters  give me the same problem.

OK, I see 3 entries that could be the model that you are talking about (Maybe more with the naming system you use :P). Which ftr is it that's causing the trouble?

You say that you use shipedit to edit your shiplist (and ftrlist.txt, I assume???). So, I guess your entries here have to be correct. Actually browse to the models though, just to be certain pay close attention to potential spelling/grammer problems.
Also, give us the link at BC for the model. I can check out the model to see if it's broken.

1, Are these the starting ftrs for the carrier or do you have to buy them in space dock?
2, If they are the starting ftrs can you go into spacedock and swap them out for something else?

the model that are causing the problem are cyraider.mod and the ffthi.mod (the first and third one)

i always use ship edit for both shiplist and ftrlist

that should be all of them.

the fighter are the one the klingon use for base (the cylon are on the klingon side)

i forgot to sayd i use win xp 2nd editions

and i can transfer the full game including the mod on a dvd so you can transfer it to your hd andsee first hand.

Well, if it's 2 different models and they work in the mod viewer, then it's most likely not the .mod's problem. Also, ShipEdit will be sure to point to the correct file if you're browsing to it by double clicking on the files. So, the only manual input area, and therefor the most likely place for an error to occur, is in the ShipEdit windows here in the pic. Blank them out and very carefully retype them back in. To be sure that you don't have any spaces at the beginning that aren't noticable, backspace ( <-- ) one time before you start typing. I've had that be a problem before, myself.

That link got me the CyRaider.zip, which works fine in my game. Did you do as I said with retyping the fighter names in the fighter bay windows in shipedit?
