Something winged this way comes :)

Some of you might recognize this. She's the FASA V-30 Winged Defender.

After a total of nearly 4 hours of work, the mesh stands done @ 7.8k polies.

I did this a side project, to cool my head off the Excels.

I'll map her after I get some sleep.

Enjoy:

Very nice. I especially like the wing "hinges". Is that part of the original design, or did you add that?

I only changed/added really minor detailing.

Ya already know I like it but the disrutors look way to flat, shouldn't the barrels be rounded?

Holy Crap, 7.8k polys? Well it does look damn good.

The only thing I was gonna say was about the guns also. I likes the box look, they just needed to be wider instead of flat planes. But the rounded looks cool also!

;D Really nice work Adonis. Definitely a must have ship and one of the top three ship designs IMHO in FASA Trek. I'd pick the Chandley and the D-10 as my other must have ships.

Speaking of other ships... Where are the Akyazi class ships of yours?

A very nice model, incredibly detailed. And it only took you 4 hours? WOW!  :notworthy:

But, there is very few FASA ships I like, and while this is one of the better ones, it is still one I'm not keen on. I like the D10 and the Loknar, and that's about it.

Now, something more of interest to folks here.

Note that I'll be doing 3 texture sets, so you'll see a green version too you all are used to ;)

Very pretty..and very lethal-looking! Thanks for doing such a beautiful job and giving a new interpretation to the V-30!

Adonis,

I can't wait to fly this against your Akyazi PA Ship (Akula subclass)!

I think that would make an awesome screensaver.
