Depends, what version of Windows are you using?  If you are using Win2000 or WinXP then yeah it's normal.  However if you are using WinMe then no... that's not normal at all...   ;D

What do you mean, I used WinME for 5 years without any problems, and certainly never had to worry about authorization and it locking me out if it doesn't like upgrades I make like I have with XP!!!!

You just have to know how to work the program.  On the otherhand had MORE problems with 2000 and getting things to run on it than I ever did on WinME, or even Win95 when Win95 was OUTDATED!!!

;)

WinXP, no it's not normal, either that or I am just hard on the OS...it has problems constantly, I crash it about once a day with a program freezing it up, and then after it either does a reboot of the OS, or I manage to get the taskmanager opened and shut down the entire process except for the OS, it then asks if I want to send a message to Microsoft, which of course never get's any feedback to me anyways...

Nice joke Karnage...you must not be taxing it enough...

My main WinXP Pro desktop that I use for Email, Internet, Games & stuff usually runs for weeks, if not months at a time without problems.  I usually only reboot when I install Windows Updates.

You must be doin' somethin' wrong!    :D   ;)

I must be.  At least something that Windows didn't like...it's all those old DOS programs I try to get working...MS never thought that people as young as me might actually LIKE DOS games (and programs)!!!

I put Linux on my mom's machine.  All she does is play Mah Jongg and Breakout though.

But for a 7 year old machine, it's not doing badly at all.
I was never here, you were never here, this conversation never took place, and you most certainly did not see me.
