OUTALANCE SHIPYARDS
U.S.S. Jutland NCC-41916
Victory Class Explorer (Upgrade)

Owner: United Federation of Planets
Class: Capital Ship
In Service: 2350's
Out of Service: n/a
--------------
Originally designed and built in the 2330's, Victory Class cruisers proved to be one of Starfleet's finest combat assets during the Cardassian War in the 2350's, and when it appeared that war would again be on the Federation against the Dominion, numerous Victory Class ships received weapon, shield, and engine upgrades in preperation for new combat.
The U.S.S. Jutland was one such ship.
Type X phasers and quantum torpedo launchers were fitted, as well as high capacity shield generators.

I worked hard on this mod and I hope you enjoy playing it as much as I do.
I decided that by now, many people will have graphics cards capable of efficiently running 2048 textures, so I have set them as the default, however if you have trouble with these, 1024 and 512 textures are also included.
Alternatively you can use a photo editor like Paint Shop or Photoshop to resize the "High" folder textures to 1024 x 1024.
Though I have to say that playing at at 2048 will really bring out the details on the ship.

I was going to ask if it was based on the sovereign design. I like the design, it looks like a missing link between a TMP Connie and a TNG Sovereign. I'd love to see some kind of morph vid showing the connie to sov lineage maybe four ships in the line with this as the third.

Not a bad design at all.  I'm not much of a Post TNG ship fan (The Soverign, Defiant, and Intrepid are about it) but this ship really is not a bad design at all.  I think if Rikers Titan should be any ship, this should be it.   :)

I see that the ship is named after the second only fleet action of World War One after the battle of the Heligoland Bight. Both batles draws although both sides (British Royal Navy and German Imperial High Seas Fleet) could claim technical victories although the Brits suffered more casualties than the Germans.

Beautiful ship well made. I look forward to flying her in game.

CORRECTION: There were actually 4 fleet engagements during 1914-1918: 1st and 2nd Heligoland Bight, Dogger Bank, and Jutland. Sorry about that, I should have done better reasearch before posting. You may throw rotten tomatoes at me now!

Wasn't there a ship like this called the Arcturus?

The Vimy was launched in the 2330's, the Jutlland is a upgraded version launched in the 2350's

And the resident military historian strikes again...The ship is named after the Battle of Vimy Ridge, part of the larger Battle of Arras and was the very first time that Canadian troops fought together as a corps formation. It is said that upon learning of the victory, a French soldier exclaimed, "C'est impossible!" ("It's impossible!"), and upon learning it was the Canadians who had won it, replied "Ah! les Canadiens! C'est possible!" ("Ah! The Canadians! It is possible!").
