Aion Fighter offer (needs work)
« on: February 09, 2007, 04:33:51 pm »
hey all, the same offer I just made at Bridge Commander Universe Applies here for SFC1-3.
To save typing here's the link to the post, the pics and most importantly the Download!

Please read and hopefully enjoy! I look forward to comments, remember this is NOT ME it's is DaBrain's generous sharing of his work as prompted by me (I think people will love it, especially as a Rommie or a Reman)

http://bridgecommander.3dactionplanet.gamespy.com/phpBB/viewtopic.php?t=24036&sid=bea84b24e651dac7067da9f7ffd9d588

Same caveat also applies, if you do something cool to it or with it please Credit DaBrain and link it for use in FS2 if possible. :) Thnx...

Comments?

Nice design, but I didn't find a download link.. (maybe I missed it, I've been known to do that)..

I'm thinking Feddie personally, but I could also see Rom..

I already have this ship, never did figure out where it came from, but the version I have was untextured but in MOD format. Could we have a link to the one you have?

No problem guys, I am reattaching the DL HERE (look down)...

Damn... It was posted like 2 years ago and no one ever did anything with it to my knowledge. Cool someone else noticed it, but I'm disappointed they also let it sit. I got an excuse, I suck at everything.

 :)

Now you can see where I am at. IF errors are minor enough not to cause a complete crash I can take a raw model and make it visible with painted faces (temporary clothes) so you can see it and blow it to hell. You will never see something that looks like a Queball quality download if I had to do any type of major texture work or mesh alteration. Makes me a little sad, but I don't mind if people know me as a porter ONLY and for nothing else. At least I get to show off the great works people have done from other communities and generate interest in things that would go unnoticed or hardly a look otherwise.

Knowing these things are being USED somewhere for something is the satisfaction I get from porting, especially if it's me blowing the poogies outta it!  :D

LOL, np guys.

I thought I was the only one who had it since it was a throw away model only posted once in DaBrain's FS2 thread on Game Warden. He he...

Glad to see others had an eye on it then for its potential!

Conversion ?? I'm doing a complete rebuild and resize to fit my hangar.

'course my version will prolly never see release, it is a cool looking ship. But if it does and someone else beats me to the release do I also credit them in addition to Star Dragon and DaBrain ??

Opps Clarification:

DaBrain gets credit for the original design (before your modifications)

I get absolutely no credit at all!!!  ;D

Not at the moment.. I concentrated on busting the mesh into texturable areas first.. then once it's all mapped, I'll scale it down..

I usually think "texturing" before I think mesh and scaling.  ;)

I'm done (2 weeks ago) with the BC version. Snyone want to do the SFC port as I'm tied up again with a bridge mod for BC and no time to convert this model.
