Some good news..
« on: February 05, 2007, 03:58:24 pm »
.. I was able to partially recover some data from a hard drive crash that happened a year or two ago, and I found I had a complete backup of Kane's THE STATION.

If the guys at Outalance are interested and can spare the space, I'll upload it and get it back online.  :D

This is good news indeed!

I have been looking for some truly good B5 models for SFC1.

ABsolutely Alec, oh BTW the link on your OutaLance page leads to your old site  (which isn't there) If you like I can relink it and all the work you've posted at Battleclinic can be moved to your page as well  ;D

The only existing current online copy of the Mare Imbrium site was on Outalance.. moved there from mackie's when Mackie downsized..

If it's off the server, I'll have to reupload it along with updates..

Pretty funny you guys up on the SFC OP B5 campaign I have been running?  I made the SFC races the League of Non Aligned Worlds.  Had to fit them in somehow,..

It is running really well and the crew is great, stop by if you get a chance.  I fleshed out a bunch of the B5 extra ships for a lot of the races.  The Primus, Narn DN, CL's, EA ships (Warlock, Nova, Omega) etc.  The models folder and shiplist is downloadable at the site.

Stop in to the message boards and say Hi, they are also very active.

It is not a dynaverse style game it is turn driven and ref run.

Always looking for recruits,..

Personally I would love any and all extra models you folks might have and will take a look at your home sites.  Thanks

Just curious why you would still work with SFC1 ?

Are the models used in SFC1 usable in SFC OP or is the format different ?

Thanks

Models are useable, but will have no illumination.  Similar to how you can use SFC 2 models in SFC3, but they won't have glows.  (And will fire from different spots on the model).

I still work with SFC 1 because there are still those that play SFC 1.  It's what I was introduced to originally, and I still use SFC 1 to play test my ships in.  If they work there and look good, then I add illuminations and test in SFC 2.  And finally add glows and shots for SFC 3.

Just means that anyone can use and play the ships, that's all.  :D

Agreed, that's why when I bash or port I include and SFC 1 version  ;)
