Snow Day!
« on: February 13, 2007, 09:22:58 am »
Well, they closed the base so I'm off of work today.  Here in Ohio we have about 4 inches of snow with up to 9 by the end of the day.

Yea me!

And up here in Minnesota they had to cancel a big sled dog race for the lack of snow. It had already been delayed for a month for that same reason.

Let's not make a decision after all the local schools have closed until 645...

16" here and another 4" on the way all from Oklahoma.

I have one person to blame for this.

I'll blame Stephen too, it usually works.  lol

Today we had a two hour delay but I just came in normal time.  Roads were OK on the highways but the local roads weren't great.

Hey you guys might be right, We where slated to have about 2"s, that went down to 1", and then just a dusting on the ground. I probably couldn't find a cup full of snow on the ground today.

I guess God hates Canuks, cause I've been praying, no more snow!!! :D :D

If he does he isn't very good at it.  This is the first significant fall of the winter for my area.  Prior to this the only falls that actually stayed on the ground were barely enough to cover it.  Until the last few days I've mostly still been wearing my running shoes.  Today I could use snow shoes, too bad I've never had any.

Time for me to go for a walk in the snow and cold.

Hamilton Ontario.  For this region the storm centered on us.

Gee, I don't get 'snow days' or cold days. 8 inches here, and sub zero temps (Chi-town, baby).

At least I'm not in New York !!!

I don't get snow days as such.  When I take one it costs me a vacation day.
