So which is better for cooking

like onoin powder or salt or garlic powder or salt or even minced. Just wondering as Im gonna make myself some chilli tonight or tomorrow night for supper.

Yes I know the real deal is better but I useally wind up trhowing a lot away as I dont use the stuff that much and would like somthing that will keep for a while.

I use Seasoned Salt and Garlic Powder for steak usually with good results, I'm not sure if would work for Chilli or not...   :huh:

I would use lots of fresh garlic. It would taste better. ;)

That is so True!  But if you can't keep fresh Garlic. Powdered Garlic is not bad at all.  Soreyes runs off to roast some Garlic for the Meatloaf he is going to make Wedrnsday Night ;D

Sure you can keep fresh garlic, in the 'fridge.  It'll keep for a couple of weeks at least.  Use fresh garlic and onions.  They beat the pants off the powders and prepackaged minced, chopped, etc.  In fact, using a food processor or blender even changes the taste... for the worse in my opinion.
