I think there were more Kodiaks made besides MP's and the EAW one... If only one or two others, of course.  I think one was made for SFC1, but it's been a while since I've touched SFC (real life working/learning).

You didn't do so much a bad job, MP... But the forward dish looks a bit big for my taste.

He means new model, new textures, new HP,DP and partrige in a pair tree

what is DP and partrige?

what are the difference with the one from eras of war?

MP, it's a nice model, though I agree with Chris that the forward deflector looks too big.

I just don't like gun-bunny ships like these. The design is fugly. It's better thought-out than most FASA or FASA-inspired designs (Andor! Northampton! Aieeeeeee!!!!), but it's still a bad ship. Even Kirk's Starfleet wouldn't have built this.

Check out this piece. I agree with it wholeheartedly.

Gene Roddenberry himself, in his novelisation of 'Star Trek - The Motion Picture', said (and I'm paraphrasing here) that even though the refitted Enterprise was classified as a "heavy cruiser", she was really a battleship as she was the most powerful ship the Federation had yet produced.

Admittedly, I'm on a lost cause here as I love playing this starship combat simulator, but I still like my ship designs to have some aesthetic value, some balance of design, some logical, rational thought behind the arrangement of components.

Very nice work MP.

I myself have never been fond of the mix Miranda/Connie designs. The design reasons for the rollbar and mounted torpedo module as well as the melded primary and secondary hull in the Miranda would one not be included in any ship this shape and two more importantly not be needed. Why externally mount a torpedo module when the base of the neck pylon has a spot with clear line of sight for front or rear firing torpedo tubes. I've also never understood the rear mounted deflector dish, even in the Franz Joseph dreadnaught designs, they're just not needed as last I heard starships can't travel a high reverse impulse speeds as there are no forward facing impulse engine ports.

The size of a deflector it seems would also be in proportion with relation to the size of the ship itself, example being if the ship is 50% larger than a Constitution class ship then the deflector would be 50% larger than a Connie's dish. Of course this doesn't take into account miniaturization due to new technology. Location of several components comes into play as well. the "mega" phasers mounted on the bottom rear seem to be on a pylon about twice as long as would be needed since you only would need clear LOS under the ventral torpedo tubes.

As a personal note I call into question the existance of mega phasers anyway. I don't see why a Miranda class ship would be given weapons that by their very name would seem to outgun anything on the Constitution starship. More likely they are regular phasers that in the Miranda were mounted on the rollbar to increase firepower without having to rewire the saucers weapons "relays" or whatever.
