Colonial Christmas
« on: December 23, 2006, 03:43:24 pm »
...or whatever the hell they'd celebrate. This is a Battlestar that Atolm sketched out a while back that I thought would be an interesting challenge. She's just a hair longer than the 'ol Galactica and blends the design of the original series with the new Galactica and the even newer Pegasus.

Awesome, man!
If Romulans aren't cowards, then why do they taste like chicken?

I must say despite my low opinion of the new bsg (and some of the new vessels) I like this one.

AWESOME -

I'm lovin the new series and it's great to see this version.  I think I saw a flavor of a new Cylon BaseStar but it didn't have this level of detail, any chance you'll take a crack at that one??

I've dl'd and paid for MilkShape but haven't had the time to learn it, REALLY appreciate what you guys (and gals) cook up

Wow, you'd think that if the Colonial Navy had those guys for real, no matter what treachery, they'd kick the nuts'n'bolts outta those Cylons!

I wonder if WZ is into Halo? Can you imagin a fleet of covenant ships duking it out with some UNSC ships??? Oh that'd be sweet. I can mod that... Covenant use seeking plasma weapons and shields. UNSC would use armor and drones.

You have really captured the sphinx shape that I think that they were trying to portray in the original BSG.

Did you also build the other 2 in this beauty shot?

And if so when will they be released?

The credits for the other two 'stars are in the bottom corner of the pic. Those and the Vipers are from Coxxon's ship pack, minus the guns to reduce the polygon count. I'd considered making a Pegasus but they never released ortho views of the model and I really don't like having to eyeball everything the old-fashioned way.

The idea behind the Chrysaor was that she was still under construction when the Cylons dropped in, so she didn't have the hacked computer program installed yet. She managed to escape and survive to fight another day. Of course, now she needs something to shoot at...

I had announced their release here:

http://www.dynaverse.net/forum/index.php/topic,163370122.msg1122746103.html#msg1122746103

What? Do you think I post just for my health? j/j

I am currently working on them. I have them all sized, in milkshape format, and depolyfied. They need hardpoints. If if anyone is interested in picking up the ball and taking them the rest of the way, IM me tomorrow, I will try to have a pack ready to go to anyone interested.

**Depolyfied in this case means the 28000+ BSG is now 5000 polygons.**
