ED Test server is back up
« on: December 22, 2006, 04:31:36 pm »
Server is back up when when it left off, hardware and "security" issue have ben repaired.

Missions are still the 12-8 pack, has there been any updates since hackers took me offline?

Yeah, for sure.  I'm glad they didn't do too much permanent damage.

Die Hard, can you roll back the time on the server?  I miss the Early period ships.  I've been hunting through the yards for a plain old Federation CA.

yeah, I'll reset the DB to 2273 before I go to bed tonight.

I'm online right now if we can test the missions in MP

Enjoyed the missions.  I rx a double graphics display for about 3 seconds each time I had a "Hostile patrol", but it might have been my end.  In any case it went away without causing a bug.  The prolonged enemy finding can be a drag, but when I think of those hex-flipping Mirak DF howling with rage at the denial of one minute missions - I just smile!
( well I suppose this includes all hex-flippers including ones I fly 'On Occasion.'

Having the extra spares given to the early CVL such as D7V makes them almost flyable against the AI as you take whopping "Battlestar Galactica" -type ass-whoopings closing to save your fighters.

Die Hard, is there some glitch in the Federation shipyards?  It was producing DNs, DN+, DNLs by the ton.  Were there GSCs in 2273?  And I'm almost positive  DDL+s weren't being produced then.  Other than than I'm loving flying the server.  Oh, one thing:  most of the patrols lately seem to be of the "There's an enemy heading straight for us." variety.

Shipyards always produce the "best" ships they can based on the economy of the time, there is ver little you can do to control it.

I reported this in the ED thread, but I'll report here as well.  Playing online this morning, I flew Prime and attacked two Orion hexes repeatedly.  There was no reduction of DV.  During the Andromedan displacement drive mission, my ship experienced no displacement.
