well it has many elements that I could draw from My Icon-Class USS Garth...but I can redesign it some so that it suites more of your needs.
Nacelles, bridge, etc...would need to be redesigned, so that its not just another Connie bash... :)

Glad you guys find the ship interesting since its only supposed to the first schematic in a concept lineage that leads to the Excelsior class that we see in the movies  ;D More pictures are at the TreknoGraphx Site including size comparison drawings with a refit enterprise. First concept they use what they know in other refit Consitituion parts this is presented to Starfleet and the design refined. Starfleet would issue general specification for a Long range explorer. I'll have to work up those initial specifications
I've got something in mind but I want to put it in publication form.

look a bit weird  ;D

but still can be interesting to have it, 3 impulse engine will make it well faster at impulse.

Interesting design Bernard, I mean no disrespect but there are 4 cannon Excelsior prototypes, and your's while being a good design, doesn't look anything like the Excelsior, or have any of the design elements. To me it just looks like another constitution varient. No insult meant my friend. I can't wait to see what Atolm does with it, I agree with him it does deserve to be it's own design.  ;D

Bernard,

Back in the mid 1980s,  just before TNG came out, I ran a FASA Trek RPG that was 40 years after Kirk's time and I have to say this design is similar to ones my group came up with.

Any non-Fed ships in the works?

Thanks for sharing.

Hello all
Sorry for not responding sooner but things have been hectic both at work and at home with Christmas fast approaching.
Models Please I'm not insulted in any way. We all have our own ideas concerning the trek universe and this is one area where we see differently. To tell you the truth I tried to do a warp engine that combined the features of the tmp LN 64 with the Excelsior warp engine but the results were not to my liking. Like you I'm looking forward to seeing what Atolm comes up with.  KF I don't have anything in my AutoCAd Library regarding  Alien Races I guess starting in the new year its time to start creating some new files that I can bash together to create some new ideas. at one time I was going to start with the FASA Gorn battle ship by doing some pretty detailed schematics of the miniature.  Did you guys know that on the Mini there's a circular depression and I'm not talking about the pin hole for the stand  ;D on the underside of the ship.  Any way Take care all and may you all have a very merry Christmas

May I suggest ...............

1) The Churchills Nacelles
2) The Gallahads Nacelles
3) The Kodiaks Nacelles

1 and 2 can be found at Mackies site. 3 can be found at Battleclinic. All can be retextured or used as inspiration for what you may be searching for  :)
