Can't do microgravity experiments on the moon.

You know what they say:  You can lead a person to enlightenment, but you can't make him open the book.

How can we give people the enterprising spirit we once had?  What happened to our pioneers?!?!?
I was never here, you were never here, this conversation never took place, and you most certainly did not see me.

George W. Bush

also he want to send a rocket to mars from the moon because the grqavity is less that the heart, well if you lunch it from the space station youo go no gravity, but you still need a rocket to send them to space in the first place and since the shuttle can only have 5 to 7 passenger you will need to do a lot of voyage before you can do that, so untill the can build a ship that will not need rocket and cary more that 5 to 7 passenger the moon base is just a dream.

Don you need to do a science review.  There is gravity at the space station, the station itself however is in orbit which is essentially a circular free fall around the planet.

Have you heard of the "vomit comet"?  Its a plane where passengers can experience a short amount of freefall (Spaceship One did the same on a bigger scale).  The passengers experience exactly what the astronauts do in so called "zero g", just for a shorter time.  They are not out of the gravity field of the Earth and neither is the station (or the moon for that matter).  The further from the Earth the weaker the effect of the Earths gravity on you.  The station is quite close and therefore the effect is nearly as strong as on the surface.  The moon is much further and therefore less affected.  Launching the same ship from a decently high orbit above the moon does not take as much energy or fuel as launching it directly from the Earth itself or a low Earth orbit like the station.

Why do some people think these things are useless?

Have they ever peered into the night sky through a telescope lens... or even simply lay back and looked at the stars?

What's wrong with trying to visit, learn about or getting up to speed to one day live in a faraway place?  It was okay to go to America and Australia.

Why is it useless unless it subsidizes social programs?

To be human is to be material and spirit.  O, how we sow to the body!  Gimme dis!  Gimme dat!  I want my check!  "They" owe it to me!  We still got (us) poor people here on Earth, what business do they have to go to space?  The nerve!

This is why our schools need more funds poured into them at the expense of research, art, or other truly human endeavors; "I'm here, teach me!  It's your job and I want everything I'm ENTITLED to!"

*   *   *

Take no thought as to what you will eat or what you will wear.  Your Heavenly Father knows you need these things.  Look at the lilies of the field; (Yeah, please do!  In fact, there may not be life outside of our blue and white jewel, but there are blooms everywhere anyhow.)  they neither spin nor toil, yet Solomon in all his grandeur was not clothed like one of them!  The heavens declare the Glory of the Lord.  Day and night they pour forth speech.  Oh?  So you were there when I laid the foundations of the Earth and the sons of God (stars) sang for joy?  Brace yourself like a man and answer, if you know.  Bold and arrogant, they slander even celestial beings, not even angels, who are more powerful, dare to bring these accusations before God; they speak about things they don't truly understand, like brute beasts, born to be caught and destroyed.

We can do it, we just need to find funding for it.

And that's the problem.  Everyone wants to throw money and teaching the unteachable, but when it comes to furthering mankind so that kids will WANT to succeed so they'll have a place in a new world, not one that is stagnating and dying a slow horrible death.
