SFC2 Problems
« on: December 10, 2006, 04:46:21 pm »
I am installing SFC2 EAW for the first time.

System: Macbook running Parallas (virtual machine)  on WIn 98 / Direct x 9.0c.

I get sulu saying his schtick and then nothing at all.

Any suggestions? I have Win 2000 and SFC2:OP + SFC1. I have not been able to bet SFC1 to run.

I have two weeks to do some serious playing then back to normal of not having time. I really really want to play SFC

I received a  suggestion to try this on Win 95.

All the results are the same.
Install clean OS (win 95, 98, 2000)
Install SFC:OP
Install Direct X (version varies)
Run SFC:OP
Sulu Comments.
Back to the desktop and nothing else.

I can repeat this rather easily.

I never enter seril number or anything. Any ideas out there.

Have you tried patching the game up first then disabling the visual themes? i really dont think the games will run on a mac but i'm not 100% sure.

I suggest patching the game first. Then create a new shortcut to start the game that points to the .exe that doesn't include the intro. I'm not sure which one it is in EAW. Sorry, it's been a long time since I've had it on my PC. There's 2 .exe. whichever one the shortcut points to now is the wrong one.  :D

You might have to delete any old saved campaigns.
