Florida.  Michigan had their chance.  Florida won their conference.  Florida played the toughest schedule of all the contenders.  Florida's opponents have the highest winning percentage of any of the contenders.

Michigan?  I figured they'd called it a season (in terms of bowl bids)  after the Ohio State game.  Well, they could go to the Alamo bowl or something.....but those sports writers are an unforgiving lot.

Broken Championship System?

Every year something comes along to break it, when will they realize it?  Probably never.

Playoff system is the only way to go, but this group of Conference Commisioners is going to have to retire or die before that happens.

There is an extra C in the B"C"S...  Want to hear disgruntled?  Wisconsin, you know that other 1 loss team.  They are #7... what do they get for their trouble?  Not even a BCS bid!!!  Similiar deal with Auburn.  Lucky for Notre Dame they aren't restricted to any such things as being in a conference.  So a #11 (STILL RANKED WAY TOO HIGH!!!!) Fighting Irish team goes to the BCS despite getting throttled by Michigan and USC, and barely pulling it out to UCLA... hell the only "big wins" they have are the service academies.

And people say Wisconsin got penalized for "playing nobody".  Anyone that goes 11-1 in the Big ten, played somebody.

If anyone has a right to complain about getting jobbed it's Wisconsin and Auburn, not Michigan.  ND is going to get destroyed by LSU (or so I hope).  Boise State/ND and LSU/Oklahoma match-ups would have been better games.

LOL...

I live here and say that Auburn don't deserve a damnable thing.
They played down to the level of their opponent all year.
Shug Jordan and Pat Dye would have declined any invitation received had they been coaching this year, saying "These boys need to practice more, not play more."

I wouldn't be surprised.  They got involved with baseball and steroids.  They should either go to an 8 team playoff or just dump the BCS and go back to the conference tied in bowl games like it was back in the day.  Sure you are going to have the spliit national champships sometimes but that would be better than all this BS we have now.

They must be from California and Michigan and are upset that their team lost out.

No I think that the argument they used was that the Bowl money was only being spread around to only the BCS Conferences instead of all 103 college teams.  That and the crazy rankings that we end up with every year.

The 'backs shoulda beat LSU.  I have no friggin' clue what the hell Nutt was thinking coming out throwing long with 2 minutes left in the game with a quarterback who'd proven time and again during that game that he didn't have it.  Sure, Mustain hadn't gotten any snaps in practice, or at least that was Houston's excuse, but com on, Cory wasn't doing squat, and mustain couldn't have done worse.  At the very least, they should have went with the wildcat offense that LSU had been having problems with the entire day, but noooooooo, lets just give the game away.

Well, USC totally outplayed Michigan.... They didn't look like they even deserved to be there, I'm very disappointed in Carr they didn't seemed prepared to play a team like USC.

Good Job and Well Done Trojans !

I am rooting for OSU though, they are from the Big 10 .....

The Big 10 hasn't done so well this year in the bowls.  Penn State and Wisky both got some good wins, but UM looked pretty crappy against USC.  Giving up 5 sacks in one half is pretty bad.  They didn't adjust very well on either side of the ball.  But then that seems to be the recent history of UM in bowl games.  Purdue and Iowa were in games they shouldn't have been.

Here's hoping the Buckeyes take care of business on the 8th!
