Q just got a new Computer...

What game should he christen it with?

Old Specs: 850 Mhz Intel III processor 512 MB RAM (PC133)  Windows 2K
New Specs: 2.4 Ghz AMD 3400+ Processer 1 GB RAM (DDR1) Windows XP Pro

Choices are:
CIV IV: Warlords
Command and Conquer Generals: Zero Hour
Starfleet Command II: Orion Pirates
Starfleet Command III
BattleField 1942
Rome: Total War

(I only added the SFCs because they are SFC.  I'd rather christen the Computer with a game that I had PROBLEMS* running on the old specs.)

*PROBLEMS: Read: not running at optimum settings

Nice job there Q.

Hmm, out of htose games, I'd run the BF1942, it seems to be the most taxing, and since you want to test the pc out. OF course your going to have to install SFC, that's just a given round these parts. :D

I didn't get a Video Card at the moment.... There's a Video card built into the Motherboard that I am using for now, eventually, I'll either pull the ATI Radeon 9000 out of my old machine, or break down and get a new one altogether.  Or if theres no serious issues with the built-in card, I might just keep using it.  Time will tell.

The Built-in Graphics Card is a NVIDIA GeForce 6150.

I christened the computer with CIV: Warlords.  Man what an experience.  I can play a game with more than 8 AI now!  Whoo Hoo!

Second Game Installed: Orion Pirates, and I was surprised at just how much smoother it ran here.  I didn't realize how bad it was until I played it here...

What's next...not too sure yet...
