Topic: looking for info for ship name changing (Read 1179 times)

Hey guys, I have been using the search here but cannot find what I am looking for. I wish to find the information posted somewhere on how to get a shipname, which was ? ? ? , to actually show up properly. I know there are a few places one must make sure the names match, but cant remember them all.
If anyone knows where that was mentioned, please let me know, or , if anyone knows what I need to do, please post. Thanks.

did not, never been there. I guess I had better go look there too, but the search engine did not find me anything and I am sure it includes there as well.

I believe you have to alter the strings.txt file which contains the ship names. I don't remember where it is and can't look as I do not have SFC installed right now.

Is this a ship you added or a ??? showing up in 4.0? This would help me to answer your question.

Actually, I have seen both.

We have added some of the B5 ships to our list for an upcoming event and they all show as ? ? ?. It just so happens that I noticed another ship from the 4.0 as being ? ? ? as well. Sorry if I did not write that one down but should have.
