A Ghost from the past
« on: November 10, 2006, 12:25:41 am »
Hello to all.
I was on the internet the tonight and it crossed my mind to see if my old fleet was still in service from the original Starfleet Command PC Game. I stubbled across the super cool instruction book last night and it brought back many memories. I am the original founder of the House of Hy'Kull. This was way back when we fought the Federation 1st Fleet, and our various rival houses. The Romulans/Lyrans/Gorn/Hy's didn't really have fleets back then, most were Fed/Klingon. I was know as Fleet Admiral Kronin and my second in command was Admiral Khan, who later branched off to form the House of Khan as a sister fleet. This all happend around the late summer of 1998.
Its funny how fast time flies. I look at pics in the instruction booklet and remember how much fun we had, and how sweet the graphics were for that time period. Unfortunately I did quit playing due to college, and I never knew a newer version was made, or I may have picked it back up.
My personal ship to play during those days was a (K-D6DB), and my counterpart Khan used a (K-FWC). We had around 30 something members when I left, and I wish I still had my old hard drive from that computer to show you guys some of the great battle pics I had from crushing the Fed 1st Fleet. Anyways, I'm not even sure you guys are from that time, but I have never seen this fleet name used anywhere else, and being the creator of it I can tell you that Hy'Kull means Hate, Thus we were the House of Hate in Klingon, I made that up back then and had no clue what Hate was in Klingon but it sounded good at the time.
So, to the new leader, if you are my descendant, lead well, never cower in battle, for anyone who can lead the House of Hy'Kull must be a person of great power and reserve. To the fleet members, be proud in knowing that the House of Hy'Kull was the second fleet created during the first SFC, and we fought like hell against others to keep it, maintain that honor. I wish you all well, and it fills me with joy to see the fleet still around. Save travels!

HyKull is still around --

There are seveal members of HyKull now know as KHH (Klingon House HyKull -- a change over from HOH). Many years ago the new leader of KHH recruited me into the house -- perhaps you remember Devil_40/NLB40 ? or Jakle? --- they were the main players in KHH for the last days of our ladder matches.
The house continued to battle with honour and skill vs any and all.
We still show up once in awhile for dyna servers that interest us... needless to say the number of members is limited and our activity isnt what it was during the ladder days..
All that being said I think it safe to say that KHH -- flies with skill and honour in each and every match we play.
It would be a pleasure to find you flying with the rest of the Old guard on the next server.

Jeeze now i am remembering all the old players -- grim/devil/jakle/lifetaker/kang/kraven/mini/mrogue etc etc
I hope we get to meet online one day...

You KHH guys always were da sh*t! A fine group of gentlemen, even if you did smell like lilacs.

By golly, if this keeps up, we'll soon be singin "Kum Bya" around a campfire LOL

Hey, wait, that sounds kinds fun!

I miss those days. I will forever feel like a putz for not being more social than I was. Heck, I shouldn't be so hard on myself, it was leaps & bounds from the first time I logged onto MPlayer. You are who you are. We all have so many memories, & the darndest thing is, it was different for each of us. What draws us together is the thing we all have in common, and how we relate to each other.

This game brought together a lot of good people!!!

I wonder just how many things can make that claim.
Nothing ventured, nothing gained

Wow I'm shocked that you even remembered our old tag was HOH, man that brings back so many memories. As for the guys that brought you in Jakle may have been one of my old officers, Devil on the other hand I'm sure I didnt get to know, back then everyone had 1 word names. I was reading threw your guys forums and I see that a new game, Legacy is coming out. I'm seriously considering going and getting it, I'm just bummed that they only have 4 races in it. Also, I play on the Pc, not a XBox, do you guys play the PC version as well, or console, and does it matter, i.e. do they both link up online? Anyways, I'm glad that there are still people around that remember the good old days of SFC. Hit me back with some info on this new game Legacy and give me a rundown. Also I would be honored to fight beside some of the older players! Later Guys, keep fighting hard!
