SFC 3 Sound Package ...

This package contains the sound effects for SFC 3.

To install:

Download to your desktop and unzip. It will create a "SFC 3 Sounds" folder. Inside will be the "SFCSounds" zip folder and the text file necessary for game play.

Create a folder to hold your original "SFCSounds" zip folder and text file.

After removing your "SFCSounds" folder and text file to the folder you created, click and drag the new zip folder and text file into the C:\Program Files\Activision\Sfc3\Assets\Sound folder.

Your done.  Time to play!

Some of the changes:

1. Each race now has its own sound for raising and lowering of shields.

2. New probe launch sound.

3. New scanner sound.

4. New weapons sounds:

a. Klingon disruptor and torpedo.
b. Cloak and de-cloak.
c. Polaron Torpedo.

e. Federation phaser.
f. Photon and Quantum torpedoes now have their own sound.

g. Romulan disruptor.

tried it today man with the rex2.0 mod nice! kept hearing the esg cranking up thou do you plan on tweeking it somemore? there are some niffty sound files in legacy if you happen to have it.

That's the .wav sound of the Fed shields.   Yours is playing without the shields going up or down?


BTW, how do you like the Klingon disruptor and the Ion cannon?


EDIT:

I also wanted to mention that the Fed phasers are better.  The Pulse phasers sound better.  And you should notice the ships explode with a better explosion wav or an mp3.

I updated the file if you want to check it out.

Sorry took a couple days to get back it was constantly making the esg sound dunno if that was because the AI ships had part of a shield go down during combat or what. do you happen to have legacy? i dug out some nifty sound files you might be interested in if you dont already have the game for your project I figure might as well use legacy for mod parts besides it's other function as a drink coaster LOL I found a better warp , start ,go,stop umm transporter as well as somthing for anti cloak and some others.

Ahh, OK, that explains it.

What you are hearing are the shields going up and down for the Rakelli and the Ferengi ships.

The Fed shield wav is the default sound for the other races.

Since my shuttles have shields, I hear it with the launch of every shuttle.
