Talking about the sales of the first of the 3 releases of Star Trek games from Bethesda. Kinneas, WildCard and Acidrain done a whistle stop phone up of the major gaming stores in there locality in the west, central and east coast of the US for some sales figures of Encounters...the results are interesting.
We then go on to talk about the marketing aspect of the PS 2 itself and bethesda's decision to go with a budget title for the PS 2 console. Later on Wild and Kinneas talk about the game itself and what they have seen from playing the new release.

We start off by finishing up a few subjects about Star Trek: Enounters, we then move on to chat about Tactical Assault and it's impending release which clashes with playNC's Guild Wars: Nightfall. We chat about the marketing (or lack of) for Star Trek: Tactical Assault and we guess on the sales for TA.
A little while later I talk about the process we went through of getting the Derek Chester, Eric Krasnauskas and Rantz Hosely interviews of last month. We then go on to talk about the cash spent on making a PC title compared to making a title for the Playstation 2.
Halfway through we start chatting about the thorn in every current trek gamers side...GameSpy and GameSpy's future with Star Trek: Legacy and its past in the previous Star Trek gaming titles. We then move on to the subject of "Direct to Drive" game download systems for future trek games after the announcement of the former Star Trek publisher signing a deal with the STEAM game download system (part of the VALVE company).

We start about chatting about the repercussions of the "out of sync" release of Legacy with regards to the US and the rest of the world and the impact it will have on not only the clans and modders but also the foundation of the Star Trek gaming world...the fansites. Wildcard chats for a short time about other means of aquiring the game for people in europe and other parts outside of the US.
Later on we touch again on the subject of downloadable content possibly being made for Star Trek: Legacy. We also chat about the lost possibility of getting some of the actors to advertise the game on TV. We also touch on the experience the hosts have had in the Star Trek gaming world and the pc game franchise as a whole, we also mention the old time gamers of SFC: OP and Bridge Commander and other older clans and fleets re-forming or re-entering the Star Trek gaming scene preparing for the release of Star Trek: Legacy and the impact Argus Array has had with the listenership.
We finish off the last 15 minutes of the podcast by catching up with the hosts of the Argus Array to see what they are doing in the near future during it we talk about the probable explosion of clans in the listed directories and the difficulties of preparing large Star Trek gaming sites for the new games. Kinneas chats about the highly addictive web-based game "The Spock Market" on G4. Acid chats about the work he is doing for both STG and Trek-online and dispells some rumours about the news appearing on both the sites. we also talk about the "Halloween Special" of the Array coming up at the end of this month along with the Argus Array competitions.
I finish off by talking about a new project by CUGS which entails the reimagining of the old UNITY 2 mod with freiza and Mr Chris Jones.
